It has been a minute. Life keeps on giving and will continue to and it has been more challenging to carve out the time to write. Lots of reflections have been brewing that haven’t found a landing space on the keyboard. My fascination with the practice of Yoga continues. It shapes me and evolves me daily, both as a student and a teacher.

I freshly wrapped up my fifth 200hr Yoga Teacher Training through which I got to lay my personal imprint on 12 individuals who put their bodies, minds and hearts through a 5 months long transformation. Leading a training shapes and changes me every single time. It demands a commitment and a responsibility that I don’t take lightly. It grants me accountability to walk to talk. It leaves a deeply fulfilling feeling that lingers within me for quite some time - the moment when someone regains belief in themself, the moment when someone finds freedom and sheds fear, the moment someone reopens their heart to love and joy. I get to witness it ALL. Besides bottomless personal inquiry opportunity it questions each one of us what type of life do we want to subscribe to - to devote our attention with our minds, to invest our energy with our bodies, and to align our souls with our beating hearts.

Yoga practice keeps on giving as well (just as life does!). Stepping physically on our mat can be one way to tap into it. The mat serves as a source of our self-reflection and for learning how to honor our physical limitations. Another way can be simply taking a mindful pause to allow for a spring clean up in our heads. The practice can take on a form of a purposeful breathwork that makes necessary changes for our thoughts to no longer overpower and silent our physical sensations in our body. Clearer headspace awaits just a few mindful breaths away. Whichever path and form we choose life demands us to get behind the driving wheel to steer our attention and energy towards healthy outcomes. It takes a daily navigating effort away from the extremes and hustle we don’t have any obligation to subscribe to.

My heart goes out especially to our young generation whose attention is constantly at task and at risk - comparison and pressures everywhere. Knowing too much about the whole world from one instant click and yet not having any tools to regulate the influx of information. Hunger for belonging and external validation is real in ANY age. It takes on a strong urge of our wanting minds, boundaries get blurry, and our ability to stay grounded weakens. I never claim to have all the answers and I say this to my 18yo and a 16yo. The world in which I grew up no longer exists so I can only offer an advice that depends on the self inquiry I do with MYSELF. My go to is “Does it feel right or does it just look right?”. If it doesn’t feel right in my gut, it doesn’t deserve my Yes. If it doesn’t match that, it doesn’t get my time.

Spring clean up is what I am inviting each one of us to take on daily - both mentally and physically. To help us thrive and and to pave a new ways to our young generation. With love, support and no rush.

Remember, no need to subscribe to anything :) Not even this blog.

Love to your hearts and peace to your minds from ME to YOU, always.
